Our Rona team is seeking a Yard Labourer for its Arnprior location. The successful candidate will be a self-directed and motivated collaborator who can work independently.
Title: Yard Labourer
Reports to: Yard Foreman
Job Type: Part-time permanent union
Schedule: Monday to Saturday
General Accountabilities
Reporting to the Yard Foreman and accountable for the Retail and Wholesale yards including but not limited to receiving of truck deliveries loading and unloading of goods. Employee will show a high level of customer service.
Specific Accountabilities
Work in an environment whereby the employee is involved in and committed to the success of the organization and which contributes to health and safety in an accident-free workplace.
Employee will be trained to reach their potential and motivated to achieve desired business results.
Serving and assisting customers.
Inspect products equipment and report damage and safety concerns.
Respect the policies and procedures of the company and in a healthy and safe environment.
Skills and Knowledge
Success in this role will Include (but not be limited to) knowledge of building materials and experience in a retail yard. Ability to drive load/unload trucks lifts etc. Ability to operate all required equipment and vehicles. Construction experience would also be an asset.
Commitment to assisting in the process of delivering products on time.
Commitment to high standards of procedural safety and regulatory compliance.
Commitment to a high level of customer service.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills ability to work collaboratively.
Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently react to changing internal or external needs.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Acceptable Drivers Abstract.
Experience in a retail environment dealing with customers.
Valid Forklift operators license.
