The Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs at the University of Denver is an interdisciplinary professional school of international studies and public policy that prepares students for careers in the public private and non-profit sectors. Our program provides students with the knowledge skills and networks to design policies implement programs and realize outcomes that enhance human capabilities around the world. We offer graduate degrees in International Development; International Human Rights; International Studies; International Security; Global Economic Affairs; Global Environmental Sustainability; and Public Policy as well as several certificate programs. The Schools Office of Career and Professional Development provides services to all Korbel graduate students and alumni of the M.A. M.P.P. and Ph.D. programs and the International and Intercultural Communication Program. The fast-paced office with 4 professional staff and 7-10 student employees plays a critical role for students in the professional degree programs.
Position Summary
This position will manage the development and implementation of an AmeriCorps-supported grant that will place DU students with Colorado-based non-profit and government institutions in internships designed to enhance their educational experience while preparing students for the workforce. The Josef Korbel School of Global and Public Affairs at the University of Denver through its Office of Career and Professional Development (OCPD) has been awarded an AmeriCorps Operational Grant to implement a program that places AmeriCorps members in internships where they serve high-needs communities while also gaining valuable career-advancing skills and earn a living stipend. The Assistant Director will manage the grant implementation.
This position is a full-time 1.0 FTE benefitted position reporting to the Senior Director for the Office of Career and Professional Development at the Korbel School of International Studies.
Continuation of this position is contingent upon receiving additional grant funding.

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Schedule may accordance with the Universitys flexible work policy this position is eligible to be considered for partial remote work. Further details regarding this plan will be determined with the hiring manager and are dependent on the division and team specific needs.

Salary Grade Number:
The salary grade for the position is 10.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $60000-$70000.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate departmental budget availability internal salary equity considerations and available market information but not based on a candidates sex or any other protected status.
