Job Title: Bell Captain

Pay Rate: $16.00/hour service charges

Shift: 9-hour variable shifts based on occupancy

Coverage Hours: 6:30 AM - 1:00 AM

Availability: Weekends & Holidays required

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly

Age Requirement: 25 (insurance requirement)


POSITION SUMMARY Help establish the Sundance culture of hospitality in the new Sundance Inn coming this winter! The Bell Captain leads Front Drive Valet and Boot Room operations ensuring smooth welcoming guest arrivals and departures that reflect the values of Sundance Mountain Resort-art nature and recreation. This hands-on leadership role drives service excellence and team coordination to create meaningful guest experiences.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure an organized efficient guest-friendly front drive.
  • Greet guests and coordinate check-in luggage and transportation.
  • Maintain clean professional porte-cochere and curbside operations.
  • Manage vehicle flow valet services and guest shuttles.
  • Provide in-room orientations and assist with recreation readiness.
  • Enforce environmental policies (no idling cleanliness etc.).
  • Supervise and train Bell Team; assign daily duties.
  • Promote a positive professional and safe team environment.
  • Ensure shuttle and valet services are prompt safe and courteous.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks and report maintenance needs.
  • Communicate with departments to support guest logistics.
  • Resolve guest concerns with empathy and resourcefulness.
  • Share knowledge of resort amenities and culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Leadership experience in hospitality preferred.
  • Valid U.S. drivers license in good standing; 25 years old.
  • Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs navigate varied terrain and work on feet.
  • Resort or outdoor recreation experience a plus.
  • Computer and radio communication skills helpful.
