We invite you to join our section Energy Technology and Computer Science where you will have about 20 colleagues with a mix of research and industrial experience. We work with research innovation technology implementation and education development. Our section is diverse in culture nationalities and career paths from industry and academia. Our research focuses on implementation of technologies with key applications within energy systems software development artificial intelligence healthcare technologies and secure communication.

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your contribution will be within the field of electrical power and energy systems with an emphasis on research and teaching in one or more of the following areas:

  • High-voltage components and systems
  • Power system protection
  • Planning and operation of multi-energy systems
  • Power electronics applications

In this position you will have the opportunity to develop your professional skills within the above areas as well as other relevant areas. You will also be contributing to the sections research agenda with your research experiences and perspectives.

Your overall focus will be to strengthen the departments research and teaching within energy systems to fulfil the increasing demand for academic as well as industrial knowledge within this field and competences across multiple engineering programs. To do so you will:

  • Develop the research field by identifying knowledge gaps of scientific academic and industrial relevance
  • Contribute to and take leadership at different stages of project development
  • Conduct and in time lead research projects with high visibility in the international networks of relevance though publications and collaborations
  • Teach and supervise in multiple BEng - and part time diploma-programmes within the above-mentioned fields
  • If associate professor supervise PhD students; if assistant professor co-supervise PhD students

You must be responsible for the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages and in time are expected to master both.

As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent). If you are applying for the associate professor position you should also have academic qualifications equivalent to those obtained by holding an assistant professorship and documented didactic/pedagogic training.

You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

This is a full-time position with the starting date 1 December 2025 (or according to mutual agreement).
