This position has responsibility for the management operation and instruction of all K8 WORC classes the K8 WORC Coordinator and the K8 OT interns. The K8 WORC Supervisor oversees all K8 pre-vocational activities that target executive function self-regulation and employability skills through an occupational therapy framework for the 21st-century workplace. Additionally the K8 WORC Supervisor collaborates with members of the K8 transition team in the planning and implementation of occupational therapy interventions and supports to ensure students receive a quality transition to high school and potential future vocational experiences. This position also is responsible for overseeing the entire onboarding process for all OT interns and collaborating with the OT fieldwork coordinators from local universities. This position reports to the WORC Transition Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises K8 WORC Coordinator.
• Supervises K8 OT interns (3-4 per quarter).
• Supervises K8 Doctoral intern (1 per school year).
• Coordinates all aspects of the onboarding process of all OT interns.
• Collaborates with all OT fieldwork coordinators from local universities.
• Collaborates with the K8 Transition Team and provides training in adaptations for specific tasks.
• Oversees the planning and implementation of room organization for efficient and safe access for students with special needs; share consult with teachers as adaptations for vocational IEPs.
• Oversees the planning and implementation process of individualized and group self-regulation instruction relative to the sensory needs of the individuals or group.
• Monitors student performance during on-campus jobs. Analyze the school community environment and provide instruction with adaptations as designated in the students IEP.
• Completes appropriate written progress reports relative to the educational program (middle school transition plans point sheets behavior data plans academic progress and social and pre-vocational goals progress) in a timely and professional manner.
• Trains and assesses Fairwold staff (PCAs & IBAs) and K8 OT interns in prompting hierarchy data collection and reporting for K8 WORC Classes.
• Supervises and sets clear expectations for PCAs IBAs and OT interns in their supportive role in the WORC Program to ensure best practices for all students educationally and therapeutically.
• Room organization for efficient and safe access for students with special needs; shares consult with teachers as adaptations for vocational IEPs.
• Scaffolding of skills to support a solid foundation for appropriate interpersonal behaviors in a vocational environment.
• Individualized and group self-regulation instruction relative to the sensory needs of the individuals or group.
  Serves as a Tier II and Tier III PBIS behavioral interventionist.
  Communicate with parents or guardians regularly.
  Assists with grant writing and data collection as directed by the WORC Transition Supervisor.
  Performs other duties as assigned.

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT:

• Supervisor of K8 WORC Coordinator.
• Schedule regular check-in meetings.
• Complete mid and end-of-year evaluations.
• Managing approval for personal and sick time in UltiPro.
• Problem-solve staff conflicts.
• Participate in biweekly meetings with all WORC Coordinators.
• Participate in a monthly meeting with the entire WORC team (e.g. all OT interns job coaches WORC Coordinators/Supervisors).
• Management and Training.
• Facilitate and lead direct instruction of the WORC Program curriculum using occupational therapy strategies for all K8 students in Fairwold Academy Programs.
• Manage all logistical aspects of the K8 WORC Program.
• Manage all student jobs and assign work tasks by student ability; evaluate student progress.
• Train 100% of staff assigned to support K8 students involved in K8 WORC classes: PCAs and IBAs on data collection prompt hierarchy and task analysis.
• Conduct PCA training regarding the overview of the WORC program.
• Fieldwork Coordinator for all Fairwold Academy and Mill Creek OT Interns.
• Collaborate with OT fieldwork coordinators from local universities.
• Manage the onboarding process (e.g. emails interviews WORC placements for K8 HS and Mill Creek clearance check through collaboration with HR set up orientation resources and individual clearance files creation of goal objectives and weekly expectations of all OT interns.

Supervise Level II OT Interns:

• Supervise Level II interns (up to 3-4 per quarter).
• This includes facilitating intern training (orientation to the program and WORC Google Drive student debriefing transition planning for middle school students data tracking etc.).
• Weekly meetings with each student to discuss areas of strengths and needs.
• Review and provide feedback on newly created WORC lessons treatment plans adaptations and upgrades and downgrades.
• Complete a mid-term and final performance review as per AOTA standards for each OT intern every six weeks.

Transition Planning:

• As part of the K8 transition team: support the team in developing a comprehensive transition plan for 8th-grade students.
• Create WORC transition plan (student perspective) based on selected vocational artifacts to promote student advocacy and student participation in the IEP.
• Oversee the implementation of self-regulation intervention programs for all students in Fairwold Academy programs in grades K-8 (e.g. Alert Program Zones of Regulation etc.) as a pre-vocational intervention.
• Facilitate ESY preparatory tasks (delegating/guiding tasks for OT interns including creating club bins social skill lessons for K8 and organization of rooms and supplies).
• Collect and analyze all self-regulation and sensory group data; modify program as needed to meet clinical outcomes.
• Provide clinical consult weekly for universal sensory and occupational therapy strategies specific to Autistic support using evidence-based practices to promote student progress.
• Design administer and assess performance evaluations for all students as part of transition program information needed for students transitional IEPs.
• Provide Google Drive support and create programming documents for the WORC team and OT interns.
• Provide direct services to students as a Tier II and Tier III PBIS interventionist in support of students emotional-behavioral health needs.
• Create and manage the K8 WORC Program budget.
• Meet promotional and development project timelines and requests.
• Provide professional development to teachers and staff in relevant topics; consult with classroom teachers to ensure efficient and safe room organization for students with special needs.
• Engage in full active and frequent participation in professional development events and opportunities with the consistent application of new learning in the classroom and sharing of learning with colleagues.
• Engage in full active participation in professional school events that may extend beyond the school day including but not limited to Back to School Night Parent Conferences Parent Town Hall Academic Honors as well as middle school and high school graduation.
• PBIS Events create posters/flyers tickets and emails advertising events coordinate pretzel day host 1 club per week manage the school store (shopping pricing restocking scheduling run the daily operation).
• Full and active compliance with all PHMC and Fairwold Academy regarding job performance and conduct standards and expectations.
• Maintains proper credentials for assignment and remains educationally informed in all related areas including special education regulations for related services.
• Performs related duties special assignments and projects as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Masters degree in occupational therapy from an accredited university.
• Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist Licensure (OTR/L).
• Minimum 7 years experience working with special education populations and/or children and youth with emotional and behavioral challenges Autism or Intellectual Disability.
• Experience with instructional and assistive technology.
• Supervisory experience required.
