**Job Summary:**
The Evening Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in the organization and development of a residential setting during specific evening shifts. They oversee staff and youth interactions ensuring appropriate service delivery in a safe environment. The Evening Supervisor also provides leadership training and supervision to Youth Care Workers to ensure compliance with program expectations and the Clinical Model of Youth Care.
**Responsibilities:**
- Supervise a team of three or more Youth Care Workers
- Provide input into the development of treatment plans and objectives
- Participate in the milieu to observe and address staff and youth interactions offering feedback
- Conduct consultations and evaluations for Youth Care Workers maintaining programmatic files
- Assist in the orientation of program participants and staff members
- Lead shift transition meetings staff meetings and in-service trainings
- Coordinate daily activities such as therapy sessions recreation meal planning and group interventions
- Provide guidance to staff during crisis situations
- Participate in performance quality improvement efforts
- Perform other assigned duties
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelors Degree in a human service-related field preferred along with two years of residential child care experience or relevant experience with the target population
- Minimum of 25 years of age
- Ability to implement the Maryville Model of Care
- Skilled in engaging and managing children in a group or 1:1 setting
- Possess a valid drivers license and ability to drive a fifteen-passenger van
- Effective communication skills with various stakeholders
- Knowledge of supervision and basic management practices
- Familiarity with computer technology and programmatic requirements
**Physical Demands:**
- Ability to sit stand bend stoop walk climb stairs and lift/move objects over 40 pounds
- Visual hearing and learning capabilities to perform job functions
**Work Environment:**
- Work in group home settings schools recreational facilities and community locations
- May interact with challenging youth
- Flexible to work evenings weekends holidays and respond to program emergencies on a 24-hour basis
