Are you passionate about building modern scalable solutions using Java technologies Join our Settlement & Tax team as we develop and maintain new Settlement & Tax systems as part of our strategic Convergence project a transformation initiative moving from mainframe to a cutting-edge Java platform.
At Euronext Securities youll collaborate closely with colleagues cross borders with a team of experienced developers functional analysts and QA specialists. Together well navigate a complex and dynamic financial domain that impacts clients across Europe.
About the Role
As a Java Software Developer youll support both the development and operational aspects of our Settlement & Tax applications. The position is based in Copenhagen and we practice a 3 days a week in the office- policy. This is a unique opportunity to influence a high-impact system within a critical financial infrastructure.
What Youll Do
Develop test and maintain high-quality backend services using Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot.
Design and implement scalable event-driven architectures.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs aligned with OpenAPI standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and system enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness.
Write clean maintainable and testable code following best practices.
Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members.
Support unit testing and continuous integration pipelines.
Use GIT for version control and team collaboration.
Contribute to our observability setup (experience with OpenTelemetry is a plus).
Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
What Were Looking For
Strong foundation in software engineering principles (e.g. Clean Code SOLID basic Domain-Driven Design).
Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs using Java/Kotlin.
Familiarity with event-driven systems; experience with Kafka is a strong plus.
Proficiency in GIT and test-driven development.
Knowledge of or interest in observability practices (e.g. logs metrics tracing).
Experience with Quarkus or similar frameworks is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.
