We are hiring 4 Senior Software Engineer positions.

Community Support Engineering is responsible for the world-class technology architecture and solutions that power CS at Airbnb. The Difference You Will Make:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer who is passionate about making a difference through their work. As a Senior Software Engineer you will work in a global collaboration environment and lead the project execution for better Airbnb customers and agents experience. You will develop and evolve CS engineering foundations with long term strategies such as Routing Data Platform Case Management and foundational toolings etc.
A Typical Day:
- Work cross-functionally with product design and other engineering counterparts to execute on product and business strategy to build novel products and features
- Drive lead and contribute to the full development cycle: technical design development test experimentation analysis and launch. Youll be reviewing code and design docs giving feedback on product specs and mocks.
- Discuss and align technical specifications and implementation details with other engineers including cross-team engineers.
- Bring flexibility to collaboration with design and product partners by presenting tradeoffs and iterating to the ideal solution.
- Write clean testable and maintainable code to implement the features
- Perform tech design and code reviews and advice/mentor other engineers
- When you are the POC of the projects drive the delivery communicate the status to stakeholders and ensure the overall quality
- Advocate and participate in efforts to advance Airbnbs engineering processes and technical foundations.
- Provide critical input in team roadmap and technical direction.
Your Expertise:
- 5 years of industry engineering experience product engineering preferred
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree preferably majoring in CS or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in at least one major programming language (such as Java/Kotlin/Python).
- Experience in building large and scalable systems such as high-traffic systems big volume data processing etc.
- Experience in leading large impact and scope engineering projects.
- Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems.
- Mentorship to junior developers
- Fluent communication in both English and Chinese.
Your Location:
This position is China - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites as agreed to with your manager. Your recruiter will inform you what cities you are able to work from depending on your personal legal working identity and Airbnb internal policies.
