As a Data Engineer you will join our newly forming Data & Performance Measurement team in Sofia Bulgaria. This is an exciting opportunity to become a foundational member of a team at the start of its journey. You will play a central role in building and evolving Bang & Olufsens self-service data platform enabling advanced analytics and supporting a data-driven culture across the company.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver scalable and efficient data engineering solutions
- Design develop and operate our data platform independently and collaboratively
- Champion data governance and contribute to its ongoing development
- Continuously enhance your own and the teams capabilities to drive platform innovation
- Build data products that support key business areas
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior team members
- Advise on emerging data engineering technologies and best practices
What you bring
You have a strong background in data engineering and a passion for modern technologies and innovation. You are ready to take operational and technical decisions and drive the evolution of our data platform.
Moreover you bring:
- Proficiency with SQL Server
- Experience in data transformation processes including ETL and streaming
- Familiarity with data storage and delivery tools such as data lakes and semantic models
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
- Proficiency in Python
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric
- A customer-first mindset and a passion for using AI in your work

Youll be joining a new team and helping shape how data engineering supports business transformation at Bang & Olufsen. You will work closely with stakeholders across IT Finance Marketing Retail and Operations to develop solutions that drive performance and innovation.

Travel: Approx. 20 days per year
