This role is full time and the hourly rate of pay is $15.00 to $17.60 per hour with excellent benefits.

SJRCS is seeking a teaching assistant in our preschool. This teacher would assist the lead teacher with language arts math science social studies and religion. The assistant would report to the lead teacher principal and assistant principal while being an integral part of the preschool faculty team serving in an advisory capacity to the administration for the schools policies philosophy organization and curriculum.
Responsibilities:
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of SJRCS.
Collaborate with the preschool teachers and resource teacher to establish a consistent foundation for learning.
Support the lead teacher with classroom routines make copies decorate bulletin boards display student work deliver instruction to small groups of students and any other assistance the young children may need.
Practice positive consistent discipline in the classroom.
Help organize and attend field trips.
Have positive communication with parents.
Attend weekly faculty and team meetings.
Skills required:
Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church.
Support subjects taught instructional methods and strategies and curriculum differentiation.
Knowledge of child development learning and behavior specific to preschool grade levels. The teacher will have the ability to manage student behavior in the classroom setting.
Skill in pacing and differentiating instruction. The assistant will have the ability to respond to individual learning needs.
Skill in motivating and engaging students in the learning process.
Skill in collaborating with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning across the curriculum.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school but prefer Associates degree
Experience working with young children
Patience and flexibility with young children
Passion for the Catholic faith.
