Assistant Corporation Counsel II - Finance Division

The City of Chicago Law Department is seeking an attorney for the position of Assistant Corporation Counsel (ACC) II in the Finance Division.
The Finance Division attorneys provide legal assistance to City Departments including with the Department of Finance Department of Planning and Development and Department of Housing; serving as issuers counsel for the issuance of general obligation bonds revenue bonds and tax increment bonds; revitalizing blighted areas with projects that create jobs with tax increment financing (TIF); negotiating and closing multi-family housing loans and tax credits; reviewing proposed federal and state grants to the City; negotiating financial agreements with other local governments and more.
The Assistant Corporation Counsel works on: (i) TIF transactions (ii) other economic development matters (iii) intergovernmental agreements (iv) grants with other governments and entities and (v) affordable housing transactions.
