POSITION TITLE: Senior Specialist Special Operations
REPORTING TO: Senior Team Lead
LOCATION: Cebu Philippines
Summary Description:
Working with an emerging shared services organization the Senior Specialist is responsible for delivering the mandates of the Special Operations Team. This team tackles time-sensitive and mission critical operational imperatives head-on coming from Order-to-Cash Procure-to-Pay Record-to-Report. They use their special skills to efficiently relieve operational teams on capacity issues. They provide additional support for major periodic transitions. They assist in investigating and correcting escalated issues while maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers.
This team reports to the Cebu Site Director with the Senior Managers as the key stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities:
Acts as immediate relief to DBS functions who are experiencing organizational capacity challenges.
Assists the Senior Team Lead in assessing proper resource planning.
Assists the Managers/Sr Managers in executing activities that improves quality.
Assists in stabilizing the operations.
Identifies process improvement and relay to the process Managers.
Performs periodic review of team capacity and utilization.
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Accountancy; CPA highly desirable
Minimum 5 years experience in one or more of the end-to-end finance processes (AP AR & GL FA Intercompany & Lease)
At least 3 years in the shared services model
Previous experience in general accounting with exposure to: o US GAAP and IFRS o Fixed Asset Cash Management and Intercompany Accounting
Experienced with major ERP Systems (i.e. SAP Oracle etc.)
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel (i.e. basic to complex formulas pivoting graphs and charts Macro Excel is a plus)
Six-sigma trained is a plus.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications (including SharePoint and Web-based applications)
