Job Description
The Quality Manager (m/f)is responsible for quality compliance and quality performances for our aluminium gas valve casting production facility in Emmen. We seek a leader and a mentor who will coach develop and support our team ensuring quality processes are adhered to and key quality metrics achieved.
JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure that products manufactured atsite meets the agreed level ofquality and compliance to specification and applicable Standards
- Lead the localqualityteam supporting them in the variousqualityprocesses and developing their skills and knowledge
- Minimize the number of escapes to receiving Resideosites (internalcustomers) and to externalcustomers. (Customer PPM)
- Eliminate severequality incidents which can affect deliveries
- Reduce the amount of internalscrap and thecost ofpoorquality through elimination of factors of injection and increase of detection levels
- Guide theproblemsolving exercise in case ofquality issues (internal or external) leveraging the most common techniques such asPDCA and Six Sigma.
- Evaluate possible risks related todesign ormanufacturingprocess to prevent escapes (DFMEA PFMEA Control Plan)
- Assess proposed changes (design supplier processes) to identify risks and mitigation actions
- Develop and maintain a local Quality Management System which can simplify the sustenance of ISO Certifications
- Plan and Execute a solid mechanism ofinternalauditing acting in alignment with local leadership to implementcorrectiveactions
- Maintain a high standardmeasurementlab granting regular checks to parts produced and analysis of returns
- Report out of findings/issues to functional leaders and higher management as needed
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Knowledge of ISO:9001 Standard and Requirements
- Experience coaching and developing Quality Engineers Technicians and Inspectors
- Knowledge of quality tools and processes such asDFMEA PFMEA and PPAP
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge in Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control
- Experience working in a mechanical or industrial manufacturing environment
- Fluent in English
