Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Collect and validate employee time and attendance data.
- Calculate and process employee salaries wages bonuses and commissions.
- Review and verify accuracy of payroll data including hours worked deductions and taxes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to payroll including tax withholding and reporting.
Payroll Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Reconcile payroll transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate payroll reports including earnings statements tax filings and deductions summaries.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Stay updated on changes in payroll regulations and employment tax laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records including earnings deductions and taxes.
- Ensure data confidentiality and security in handling sensitive employee information.
Communication and Support:
- Collaborate with Clients HR Finance and other departments to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Assist clients with payroll inquiries including pay discrepancies deductions and tax-related matters.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.
- Work closely with the payroll team to implement new systems or tools to streamline processes.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in management HR or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll practices employment tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in using payroll software or HRIS (Human Resources Information System) understanding Talenta is a plus.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or other spreadsheet software.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
