Job Description
Job Title:Production Assistant and Delivery Driver
Location:Arcata CA
Hours:4-9PMWednesday-Sunday
Start Date:Immediate
Pay Range:$22/hour
Job Summary:
The Packaging & Delivery Driver is responsible for accurately packaging cannabis products in compliance with state regulations and safely transporting them to licensed facilities and retail partners. This role requires strong attention to detail adherence to quality and compliance standards and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory and delivery records. The ideal candidate is reliable organized and able to work efficiently in both a fast-paced production environment and on the road ensuring all products are handled with care and delivered on time.
Responsibilities:
Accurately weigh package and label cannabis products in compliance with state regulations.
Ensure all packaged products meet quality control standards for appearance weight and labeling.
Maintain a clean organized and sanitary work area following company SOPs
Track and record inventory movements in compliance with state-mandated tracking systems (e.g. METRC).
Follow all safety security and compliance procedures during packaging operations.
Safely transport cannabis orders to local customers in compliance with all state and local regulations
Verify order accuracy before departure and confirm customer identity upon delivery using required ID verification procedures.
Collect payments when applicable and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
Maintain delivery logs and adhere to chain-of-custody procedures.
Drive in a safe courteous manner and follow all traffic laws.
Keep delivery vehicle clean stocked with necessary supplies and in good working condition.
Communicate promptly with the dispatch or management team regarding delays route changes or customer concerns.
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
Previous delivery driving experience preferred; cannabis industry experience a plus.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict compliance protocols.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Reliable punctual and able to work independently.
Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for route navigation and delivery documentation.
Due to industry requirements candidates must be 21 years or older.
