Purpose of Role
The Career Advisor builds and maintains relationships between Daemen University and employers. The Career Advisor is an instructor for Career Field Experience and Career Preparation Seminar courses each semester. Additionally the Career Advisor will facilitate internship experiences in partnership with students faculty and employers. Furthermore the Career Advisor is responsible for building and maintaining faculty relationships providing classroom and campus-wide professional development workshops and supporting students and alumni through one-on-one meetings. The Career Advisor is responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of department events. Furthermore the Career Advisor will connect students and alumni with employers in their industry and provide the knowledge and skills to attain job and internship opportunities.

This is a full-time 10-month hourly (Pay Range: $18.00- $20.00 per hour) professional and administrative position that includes University benefits and professional development opportunities. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required Qualifications
The Career Advisor position requires a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Marketing Human Resources Education Psychology or a related field. The Career Advisor must have excellent organizational and communication skills and be able to work well with students faculty staff and employers. Additionally the Career Advisor must have a strong working knowledge of best practices in the field.
