Category Manager - Cloud & Information Security Procurement

As the Category Manager for the Cloud & InfoSec categories you will be responsible for supporting WTW across the business for all procurement aligned to cyber security and Cloud operations. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies related to end user & collaboration services. Knowledge is essential of how global software and licensing works and experience/background specifically in information security or cloud migration to meet the business and stakeholder needs. A strong knowledge of wider major Technology providers is also desired.

You must have experience in building and maintaining key business stakeholder relationships within the category and serve as a trusted advisor and partner for them on information security and cloud maturity related matters for WTW. The Category Manager for Cloud & InfoSec will support the Head of Enterprise Technology Procurement with relevant category planning for the business.

The successful candidate will also have a creative and positive approach to problem solving and a strong collaborative approach with other team members and stakeholders. A strong analytical mindset with a meticulous approach to reporting and a willingness to learn and develop will be key to being successful in this role.

The scope of the roll also requires you to create and maintain up to date category plans and provide key monthly and ad hoc reporting as required and requested by your line addition to also work closely with the Procurement operations and analytics teams to review and access spend data and spend trends. Experience in negotiating large projects also desirable. This role will require you to have the ability to work multiple large and complex projects simultaneously and will only suit those with a get it done mentality.

The Role:

• Management of procurement activities including sourcing commercial negotiations and project management forCloud & InfoSec with an aim to mitigate risks and achieve intended financial outcomes
• Accountable for management and delivery of projects including renewals consolidations of existing relationships and other sourcing activities
• Provide guidance and manage escalations on those individual efforts
• Maintain relationships with colleagues on the Category Management team internal stakeholders as well as suppliers.
• To put the interests of WTW clients and the integrity at the heart of the way you a WTW do business
• Leverage vendor relationships through negotiation to ascertain best in class products/services while reducing total cost of ownership proven track record of year-on-year delivery
• As required provide leadership of high-profile sourcing initiatives

The Requirements:

• Strong work experience of technology procurement
• Experience/knowledge in Cloud computing procurement
• Experience/knowledge in procurement of cyber security software related products and reporting platforms
• Experience in supplier negotiations
• Strong relationship building skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Creativity to seek encourage and find non-traditional approaches to Procurement challenges
• Change management and self-awareness skills to adopt targeted approaches to a dynamic set of stakeholders
• Ability to articulate Procurements value specifically as a Procurement business partner
• Knowledge of complex sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
• Industry Procurement knowledge
• Legal contract knowledge and negotiation experience
• Familiarity with relevant legislative regulatory requirements and industry standards as well as understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk and ensure compliance
