Job Description
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Plastic Surgeon with a strong passion for patient care to join a collaborative and multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to build and grow a practice based on clinical expertise and areas of interest.
There is strong institutional support for innovative initiatives in areas such as fetal surgery burn reconstruction orthopedics and lymphatic surgery. The clinical practice will include general pediatric plastic surgery with an expectation for the candidate to develop a subspecialty focus.
- Provide comprehensive surgical care in pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery including both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Develop and expand a subspecialty area of clinical focus within pediatric plastic surgery (e.g. craniofacial burn hand microsurgery etc.)
- Participate in shared call responsibilities with other surgeons on the team
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including physicians nurses physician assistants and other healthcare providers
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives and support best practices in patient safety and surgical outcomes
- Contribute to teaching and mentoring medical students residents and fellows
- Participate in and/or lead clinical research projects in collaboration with research centers or academic partners
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Plastic Surgery
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Valid medical license and DEA certification
