Position OverviewThe Engineering Assistant will support the engineering management team with project coordination documentation and administrative support. This role is essential in ensuring that engineering projects are executed efficiently with accurate documentation smooth communication and timely milestone tracking. Candidates should bring 5 10 years of experience and hold an accredited bachelors degree (engineering preferred).
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Documentation & Reporting
Assist in creating organizing and maintaining engineering documents including plans schedules budgets and reports.
Ensure engineering-related documents are accurate up to date and readily accessible.
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas minutes and status updates.
Coordination & Communication
Facilitate communication among project team members stakeholders and contractors.
Assist in scheduling meetings site visits and project-related events.
Support internal and external coordination to ensure timely milestone completion.
Project & Financial Tracking
Monitor project budgets and expenses assisting in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
Collect and analyze project data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare summary reports and recommendations based on data analysis.
Education:
Bachelors degree required (Engineering preferred).
Experience:
5 10 years of experience supporting engineering construction or utilities-related projects.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook).
Experience with project management software and data analysis tools.
Knowledge of engineering activities technical terminology and document workflows.
Core Competencies:

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff design engineering teams and vendors.
