Job Summary:
This role is for a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist responsible for performing CT scans on adult patients in various settings within an acute care hospital including the ICU and Emergency Department. The technologist will utilize advanced imaging techniques and post-processing skills to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. On-call and holiday work is required.

Responsibilities:
- Performing CT scans of the abdomen pelvis chest head and neck and spine with and without contrast.
- Utilizing advanced image display and post-processing techniques including 3D rendering and MPR.
- Performing coronary CTA and other special procedures.
- Preparing and administering contrast media.
- Starting peripheral IVs and performing venipuncture.
- Maintaining radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions.
- Documenting procedures and patient information accurately.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Responding to on-call requests and working holidays as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Associates degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care setting.
- Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Active Illinois state license or in the application process with an estimated completion date.
- Experience in adult acute care adult outpatient ICU and emergency department settings.
- Proficiency in performing CT scans of the abdomen pelvis chest head and neck and spine.
- Skill in advanced image display and post-processing techniques.
- Experience with coronary CTA.
- Knowledge of isolation precautions radiation safety and contrast media administration.
- Ability to start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
- Experience with a specific Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (e.g. Cerner).
Special Considerations:
- On-call and holiday work is required.
- The schedule consists of three twelve-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Friday through Sunday.
- Schedule requests should be discussed with the manager.
- Time off requests should be discussed with the manager.
- The client may cancel up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without penalty; additional cancellations will be billed.
- On-call shifts count as cancelled shifts.
- No radius restriction for candidates.
- Experience in a Magnet hospital is preferred.
Scheduling:
- Three twelve-hour shifts per week (Friday-Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
- Schedule flexibility is possible but requires discussion with the manager.
