Job Description
CT Technologist Traveler
Location: Athena Medtech
Department: CT Scan
Schedule: Friday Sunday 6:30 PM 7:00 AM 36 hours/week

Position SummaryThe CT Technologist (Traveler) is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using computerized tomography equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise patient care skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities-
Operate CT imaging equipment to capture detailed diagnostic images of internal organs tissues and body structures.

Accurately position patients according to physician instructions to ensure optimal image quality.

Perform routine system checks and warm-up sequences to maintain equipment integrity.

Maintain strict safety and infection-control standards including sterilization of radiologic equipment.

Administer contrast agents safely and monitor patient response.

Evaluate CT images to confirm clarity accuracy and diagnostic value.

Clearly explain procedures offering reassurance and support to patients throughout the process.

Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic results.

Minimum of 3 years of CT imaging experience.

Valid certification and licensure as a CT Technologist (state-specific requirements apply).

Proficiency in operating CT equipment and applying radiation safety practices.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care.

Experience as a traveling CT Technologist.

Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
