Job Description

Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) / Paramedic

Specialty: Emergency Medical Services Paramedic level (Advanced Life Support including Basic Life Support capabilities)

Site: Fort Belknap Service Unit (FBSU)

Location: Harlem Montana

Duration: 12 months contract with the possibility of a 4 year extension

Shift Schedule:

  • 12-hour rotational shifts as needed for 24/7 EMS coverage

License / Certifications:

  • Current EMT-Paramedic certification (National Registry or State of Montana equivalent)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of accredited EMT/Paramedic training program

Minimum Qualification / Experience:

  • Active unrestricted EMT-Paramedic license in good standing
  • At least one (1) year of recent emergency response experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently in rural/remote healthcare settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency medical response and transport for patients at Fort Belknap Service Unit and surrounding area
  • Administer Basic and Advanced Life Support interventions according to protocols
  • Perform patient assessment stabilization and documentation of care provided
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment supplies and vehicles in a state of readiness
  • Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals in emergency and urgent situations
  • Comply with infection control safety and confidentiality standards
  • Maintain current certification continuing education and readiness for all shift assignments
