Job Summary

Job role: Data Operations & Automation Specialist

Duration: 6 months

Location: Branchburg NJ onsite

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive support and oversight of the Credit Unions core financial system including performance monitoring issue resolution and process tracking.
  • Maintain and enforce security policies for the core financial system to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for departmental users regarding daily core system operations offering guidance troubleshooting and technical expertise.
  • Support maintain and deploy in-house systems closely tied to the core financial system
  • Lead the implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Digital Process Automations (DPA) including process discovery scripting testing deployment and production support.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform data and process analysis enabling informed data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist in the rollout of new applications workflows and methodologies across departments to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Act as a technical resource to other IT personnel particularly regarding issues related to the core financial system and associated technologies.
  • Support and test disaster recovery capabilities to ensure Credit Union business continuity.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for automation within the core system including scripting and process streamlining to reduce manual work.
  • Provide general user support and assistance on Credit Union specific issues.
  • Monitor and facilitate daily core financial systems processes through the Credit Unions core financial systems provider. Noting and communicating exceptions when possible.
  • Identify and maintain enterprise-wide data transfer automation opportunities through the use of various scripting tools.
  • Responsible for evaluating testing and vetting new server-based hardware/software systems intended for use in conjunction with the core financial system.
  • Deploy new in-house computer systems with the support of Network Operations personnel.
  • Support various automation concepts for all departments
  • Monitor support and deploy solutions to archive documentation images and reports needed for daily Credit Union operations in compliance with Credit Union policy.
  • Collaborate with all departments to develop and deploy new reports that analyze Credit Union operations using various data mining and analytical techniques.
  • Provide implementation and tracking of all core financial system specification changes for the enterprise.
  • Responsible for monitoring and implementing periodic maintenance operations required for core financial systems data
  • Responsible for development automation and maintenance of BI related reporting solutions and related automations.
  • Responsible implementing and monitoring regular transfer of statements and other member documents to and from Credit Union Systems.
  • Assist in maintenance and upkeep of SQL databases required for various server-based applications.
  • Deploy support and maintain infrastructure required for automated file transfer between the core financial system vendor and the Credit union.
  • Continuously review and enhance data analysis methodologies adopting modern tools and practices to improve analytical outcomes.

Other Duties:

  • Research recommend and implement purchasing of IT hardware/software within authority limits.
  • Provide backup support for tasks normally completed by other members of the Information Technology department as required.
  • Other responsibilities as defined by management

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a data-intensive environment supporting core financial applications and enterprise-level data transfer processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems architecture including core applications system operating software and integrated platforms.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and automation tools and reporting solutions with the ability to analyze and present data to support operational and strategic decision-making. Hands-on experience with automation tools and technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) scripting (e.g. PowerShell Python)
  • Requires intermediate mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving percentages fractions decimals etc.). Demonstrated ability to analyze and identify system problems.
  • Strong ability to work independently manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
