Shift: Monday Friday 7:40 AM 6:00 PM (varied shifts no weekends)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacist I to join our fulfillment this role you will be primarily responsible for final prescription verification ensuring compliance with company policies state/federal regulations and REMS program requirements. You will work closely with pharmacists and technicians in a collaborative low-stress environment focusing on prescription accuracy shipping compliance and specialty drug processes.
Key Responsibilities

Perform final pharmacist verification of prescriptions to ensure accuracy compliance and adherence to regulations.

Review technician-filled orders to confirm completeness and accuracy.

Verify shipping details ensuring medications are stored packaged and shipped appropriately.

Assess and address any temperature excursions or stability concerns during medication transit.

Assist in processing returned orders.

Identify and report pharmacovigilance concerns.

Participate in opening and closing pharmacy procedures depending on shift.

Take limited phone calls from the teams hunt group.

Support other pharmacy projects and tasks as needed.

Maintain accurate and compliant patient documentation including allergies medical history concurrent medications and laboratory results.

Provide patient counseling education and monitoring when applicable.

Assist with inventory management to reduce waste and maintain appropriate stock levels.

Support training and oversight of pharmacy technicians interns and other personnel.

Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).

Active Missouri Pharmacist License in good standing (no restrictions).

Minimum 3 years of experience in mail order retail or hospital pharmacy.

Proficiency in prescription verification patient counseling and clinical documentation.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and pharmacy systems.
Preferred Qualifications

Specialty pharmacy or mail-order pharmacy experience.

Knowledge of REMS program requirements.

Experience with specialty drugs and related handling/shipping protocols.
