JOB SUMMARY:
Business Development Representative develops and Implements strategies to sells our products or services across the platform and expand revenue. Responsible for identifying and following up with leads and existing customers creating opportunities and closing sales. Main objective involves communicating with existing clients to understand their needs and then helping them select the right products or services while taking their budget into consideration. Experienced with strategic selling sales forecasting as well as excellent interpersonal communication skills. Works with management to achieve new business revenue objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Conducts business presentations. Assists in developing sales proposals as needed. Provides input/directs creative designs.
  • Works with all teams on new project strategies.
  • Participates in key sales events and trade shows to represent/market product/ production capabilities to increase market share. Provides feedback to core team. Develops new business and expands business with existing customers.
  • Develops and maintains customer and vendor relationships. Follow up on lost opportunities.
  • Works with Estimating to ensure bids go out as requested. Provide clear complete specs for job quoting and shipping
  • Works with account managers and customer service to ensure customers have representation.
  • Works with internal marketing to develop ideas regarding website and promoting our company name.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends.
  • Manages 3-8MM in revenue annually across the platform
  • Identify sales leads and collect pertinent information from clients.
  • Inform clients about our products or services and provide demonstrations.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing clients to secure their future business.
  • Utilize customer service and negotiation skills to close deals.
  • Use CRM software and update database regularly.
  • Works with account managers to support book of business seamlessly with client base
  • Drive new business by presenting to local companies and generating new accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires knowledge of marketing and sales terminology theories concepts and practices. Includes the ability to research and write sales plans/proposals and an understanding of graphic design. This is normally acquired through a bachelors degree in marketing business or related.
  • Requires 10 years of related marketing and creative design experience preferably in the sign industry.
  • Two (2) years of previous management experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Word Excel and Email.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Knowledge of Job Shop preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • 10% domestic travel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external personnel and foster good working relationships.
  • Ability to formulate strategic marketing/sales plans and accomplish goals through non-direct reports.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence sales.
  • Project management skills.
  • Demonstrated creative design.
  • Ability to travel by car and plane. Generally sedentary when in office. Works with computer 75% of job. Occasional visits to shop floor with exposure to chemical pinch/puncture toe/foot and hearing hazards.
