We are expanding at warp speed and are adding to our team from our sales office and shop floor locations to our remote online team members. We are a diverse creative and passionate crew who is always looking to discover and implement fresh innovative ideas and make some pretty amazing things.
Job Summary
The General Manager of our commercial printing plant with 65 employees and $20m in annual revenue is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facilitys operations with full accountability for profit and loss (P&L) safety quality cost and service performance. This role drives revenue and margin growth implements manufacturing best practices to maximize production yields and throughput and leads customer-facing discussions to create strong partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Accountability: Own full P&L responsibility including developing and managing budgets analyzing financial performance and driving cost efficiencies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Create a disciplined routine for maintaining and reporting the daily production schedule customer billing and inventory management.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as a primary point of contact for key customers fostering strong relationships addressing concerns and ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations to drive satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team to foster employee engagement and cultural transformation.
  • Oversee Manufacturing Operations Quality Assurance/Control Production and Customer Service departments to resolve operational challenges optimize processes and prepare for future growth.
  • Identify develop and retain key talent to build a sustainable high-performing workforce.
  • Develop and implement plant policies and procedures in collaboration with corporate experts to ensure compliance plant safety and operational excellence.
  • Drive Lean Six Sigma manufacturing initiatives to enhance the sites value chain and improve efficiency.
  • Represent the site in interactions with local authorities serving as the legal representative for the affiliate.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support plant objectives and financial performance.
  • Provide senior management with regular updates on financial performance project status and customer satisfaction metrics through detailed reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management logistics engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 7 years of manufacturing experience with a strong track record of P&L management.
  • 4 years in a supervisory role with demonstrated leadership in customer-facing environments.
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies as applied in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel).
Preferred Skills
  • Proven expertise in managing P&L responsibilities including revenue generation budgeting billing cost control and financial forecasting in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong customer relationship management skills with experience in direct customer interactions and delivering exceptional service outcomes.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and timelines through strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Skilled in establishing performance metrics motivating teams and holding individuals accountable for results.
  • Solid change management experience acting as a value-added partner across functional lines to drive transformation.
  • Ability to analyze business reports technical procedures and numerical data and to present information effectively to management customers and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Work in a warehouse and plant environment with exposure to dust noise fumes moving mechanical parts toxic chemicals and heat; moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings stakeholder engagements or off-site management activities.
