Job Title: Fitter
Pay: $24.50/hour
Hours: Weekend 5:00 AM5:30 PM (Work 36 Paid for 40)
First 2 weeks training on Days: MonFri 5:00 AM3:30 PM
Overtime: Available during the week with Supervisor Approval

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fitter with strong MIG welding skills for a company that assembles and welds pole sections together. This role requires precision heavy manufacturing experience and the ability to work weekend shifts while delivering consistent high-quality results. The Fitter must bring mechanical knowledge accuracy with measuring tools and the discipline to follow company and safety regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Use and read welding measuring devices including squares levels and tape measures
- Select fabrication equipment and plan layout assembly and welding procedures
- Bolt clamp and tack-weld parts in position for welding
- Set up equipment and weld parts using Arc Gas-Shielded Arc or Gas Welding equipment
- Assemble parts by bolting when required
- Repair products by dismantling reshaping and reassembling parts using fabrication equipment (plate rollers cutting machines torches etc.)
- Clean poles and welds as required
- Maintain accountability for tools and equipment provided
- Comply with all company policies ISO Quality Program procedures and state/federal safety regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of welding and 3 years in heavy manufacturing required
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
- Skills & Abilities:
- Experience with MIG welding and fitting processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts
- Strong problem-solving and repair skills
- Physically capable of performing heavy industrial work
