Why You Will Love this Job:

The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for safety quality on time delivery cost reductions productivity and continuous improvements in their assigned areas.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Implement and sustain Kohler Operating System (KOS) principles in the department.
  • Participate in and eventually champion continuous improvement (KOS events/workshops)
  • Develop cost reductions efforts in the Enclosures area to constantly improve the process and lower costs to achieve yearly targets.
  • Analyze operations and sequence of operations to assure full utilization and maximum quality from present equipment.
  • Develop ergonomic and safety related solutions in the Enclosure area including analyzing and addressing any injuries that may occur.
  • Monitor production builds and working through day-to-day problems that may come up in the area of responsibility. This involves working closely with Production Foreman Supervisors and Design Engineers to ensure production problems are resolved.
  • Assist in the implementation of Capital projects.
  • Work closely with senior engineering staff to implement new products to the assembly line. This will also require frequent contact with marketing design and project management associates during the product lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support and monitor critical processes in the department.
  • Provide required support for ISO 9001 ensuring procedures match processes.
  • Monitor new technical developments for possible application in the department.
  • Backup of area foreman and scheduler as necessary to cover vacations within the Cell.
  • Responsible for change management in the area of responsibility including reviewing engineering changes for manufacturability implementing those changes to the assembly line through attendance in Change Implementation Board and communication with the shop floor.
  • Manage and maintain capital plan projects for Highly Engineered Assembly team

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • 2 years ina manufacturingenvironment through a co-op or full-time engineering position is recommended but not required.


The Salary range for this position is $76050.00-$ specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work location.
