What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran
The Water/Wastewater Operator regularly participates in the daily operations and maintenance of 3 Water and 2 Wastewater Treatment Facilities as directed by the Project Manager and Chief Operator. If you enjoy working outdoors protecting natures precious resource water then you will find this position challenging and rewarding. On-call incentives offer $200 for the week you are on call (this is on a rotation).
Compensation for being on call is 2hrs minimum paid for each call out received.
Annual Project & Employee performance bonuses are awarded each year.
Annual Safety incentive bonuses are awarded each year.

Some of the duties you will be performing include:

    • Monitor water/wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation adjusting as necessary to control their operation.
    • Perform water quality sampling testing and analysis to determine compliance with federal state and EPA standards.
    • Operate maintain control and perform routine repair of plant equipment including preventive maintenance duties.
    • Operate sludge residual equipment and processes
    • Utilize software programs for maintenance work orders and maintains all necessary records.
    • Perform general maintenance duties of plant and other assigned duties.

Schedule:

    • First and second shifts are available. Flexibility and extended shifts to meet the seasonal demands of the water system. Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position. Availability for standby dutyand the ability to be on-call working evenings weekends and holidays as needed. Response to emergency events and alarm callouts required as scheduled and required.

What will you need to succeed

    • High School Degree or Equivalent.
    • Valid Florida Drivers License required.
    • Must possess a valid State of Florida Class C Drinking Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators license.
    • A dual certification in Water and Wastewater will be an added benefit for qualifications.
    • Being able to make sound decisions in process control and follow instructions as well as following safety procedures.
    • Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.
$26 - $30 an hour
Depending on qualifications and experience.
