Summary
As a Tool & Die Mold Maker you will be a key player in the design fabrication maintenance and repair of plastic injection molds. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will directly impact the quality and performance of our molds ensuring that our clients receive exceptional products that meet their specifications.
Job Description
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to interpret technical drawings blueprints and specifications for mold and die components
- Utilize advanced precision machining tools and equipment including CNC machines EDM machines grinders and more to create mold components with tight tolerances and exacting specifications
- Develop assemble and modify injection molds to ensure precise fit function and optimal performance during the molding process
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing molds dies and tooling; perform repairs modifications and maintenance to ensure prolonged operational lifespan
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers designers and production personnel to optimize mold and die designs for manufacturability and efficiency
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in plastic injection mold making; contribute insights to continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical training in tool and die making mold making or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Tool & Die Mold Maker specializing in plastic injection molds
- Strong expertise in operating advanced precision machining equipment including CNC machines EDM machines and surface grinders
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with molds dies and tooling
- Strong attention to detail craftsmanship and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Adherence to safety protocols and practices within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage time effectively work under pressure and meet project deadlines
