Job Description

Loan Officer Assistant

Position is hybrid two days in Fairways Elmhurst office.

Were looking for a Loan Officer Assistant to provide critical support to our Loan Officers and ensure a smooth and efficient loan process for our clients.

In this dynamic role youll be the backbone of our loan origination team handling everything from preparing loan packages to coordinating closings. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for customer service we want to hear from you!

What youll do:

  • Loan Officer Support: Youll be instrumental in preparing loan packages by gathering all necessary documentation and information from customers. Youll meticulously review loan files for accuracy and completeness proactively following up on any missing documents or outstanding conditions. This includes opening escrow accounts coordinating inspections and appraisals and determining insurance needs. Youll also pre-qualify customers using automated underwriting systems and collaborate closely with processors and escrow officers to ensure timely loan closings.

  • Customer Service: Youll be the primary point of contact for general customer inquiries providing clear and concise information on policies and procedures. Youll keep customers real estate agents and title companies informed about the progress of their loans and coordinate and schedule loan closings.

  • General Support: Youll maintain Loan Officer databases assist with marketing campaigns (including email and direct mail) and stay updated on market trends and product knowledge. Additionally youll handle various administrative tasks such as faxing emailing and making phone calls and assist with special projects as needed.

What youll bring:

  • 3 years of related experience ideally within mortgage lending or related sales.

  • Demonstrated experience using Encompass360.

  • Previous experience in retail loan origination is a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment.

  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret data effectively.

  • Strong experience managing relationships with both internal and external partners.

  • Demonstrated experience in researching information problem-solving and making sound business decisions.
