Job: Homebuyer Coach

Responsibilities:
Assist families one-on-one and in groups to become purchase-ready with the creation of Action Plans to facilitate the goal of obtaining mortgage financing pre-approval
Conduct intake follow-up orientation and workshop sessions for individuals or groups seeking services
Execute counseling processes in compliance with HUD program guidelines
Coach and assess families referred by Acts real estate brokers banks and community partners for any applicable grant resources
Oversee and coordinate efforts to enhance and sustain a positive public image for Acts Housing including managing community engagement through meetings and events(some will be evenings and weekends)
Recommend and track the effectiveness of strategies for families to meet their financial goals such as making budget adjustments spending plans or adhering to debt management plans
Guide and explain services or policies to families for such things as down payments and closing costs ensuring compliance and appropriate reporting
Track the progress of assigned families through to the completion of counseling and closing on their first home

Requirements:
High School Diploma/ GED required with 2-4 years of relevant experience within the housing credit counseling non-profit human services financial services or banking industry is preferred; HUD experience is highly desired
An associates/bachelors degree within a relevant discipline is strongly desired
Must have the ability to become HUD-certified within 90 days of employment. (Failure to do so may result in termination of employment)
Bilingual language proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred
Strong technical skills and experience working in MS Office or Google Suite. Exposure to CRM Software programs such as Salesforce is beneficial
Experience in delivering high-level family services/customer service including empathizing with customer needs communicating effectively and resolving disputes or complaints
Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time and participate in occasional evening and weekend events
