  • Based at our vibrant La Trobe Universitys Melbourne (Bundoora) campus or our regional Bendigo campus
  • Fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2029

About the position

Level A research only academic is expected to carry out team research within the relevant field and carry out activities to develop their research expertise relevant to the particular field of research.

The successful candidate will primarily work on research relating to Artificial Intelligence in the diagnosis of skin cancers for RISE4SkinCancer (Regionally Integrated Systems Enhancement for Skin Cancer): a solution-focused approach to integrating care.

The aim of this program is to improve the diagnosis and management of people with skin cancer in the Loddon Mallee Region (LMR) by developing and testing a model that builds primary care capacity and improves access to care in a financially viable cost-effective doing so RISE4SkinCancer plans to improve the quality of life for people living in the LMR with skin cancer and provide valuable evidence to narrow the unacceptable gap in skin cancer mortality and morbidity between rural and metropolitan Australians.
