Job Description

Lead Construction Superintendent

Minneapolis MN Direct Hire $100-110k

Position Overview
A leading general contractor is seeking a Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee daily field operations across projects in the Twin Cities region. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors enforcing safety maintaining project schedules and ensuring all work meets quality and compliance standards. The Superintendent serves as the key on-site leader bridging field operations with project management to deliver successful on-time projects.

Lead Superintendent Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate schedules materials deliveries and equipment needs

  • Interpret drawings specifications and project documents to ensure compliance

  • Conduct site inspections safety checks and daily reporting

  • Lead subcontractor and vendor meetings addressing schedule and scope issues

  • Uphold OSHA standards company safety protocols and job site cleanliness

  • Perform light carpentry or framing tasks as needed to support field operations

Lead Superintendent Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role in commercial construction

  • Strong understanding of construction methods processes materials and codes

  • Ability to read/interpret drawings specifications and technical documents

  • Effective leadership and conflict resolution skills

  • Proficiency with construction technology/software (Bluebeam MS Project preferred)

  • OSHA 30 certification required

Lead Superintendent Requirements

  • 2 years of commercial construction field leadership

  • Degree in Construction Management Engineering or related discipline
