Kennel Assistant
Part Time
All Creatures Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated self-motivated and compassionate Part time Kennel Assistant. The ideal candidate will be gentle hands-on have an attention to detail and be comfortable around all sizes and breeds of dogs.As a Kennel Attendant you will be responsible for making sure every animal has their needs met at all times this includes providing clean water food potty breaks and a CLEAN place to sleep not to mention loves of love! The Kennel Assistant walks feeds and administers medication to patients (as needed and supervised by Doctor or Technician and based on confidence and experience).
Requirements;
- The Kennel Assistant ensures that the boarding area is clean and safe for all patients by cleaning and sanitizing cages runs ward areas and exterior areas.
- Taking dogs out regularly for walks and potty breaks and cleaning up after them
- Monitoring pets
- Administering meds when needed
- Washing and folding laundry
- This position requires bending down lifting up to 30 lbs unassisted and over 30 lbs with assistance and standing/walking for extended periods of time
- Practices OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
- Available to work weekends and holidays
