A Brief Overview
Career Services supports students in building hope confidence skills and connections toward successful futures by providing university-wide support for career development and the growth of experiential learning opportunities. Join the Queens Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP) to facilitate valuable experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students through 12-16 month full-time paid internships. Reporting to the Manager QUIP the Internship Coordinator contributes to the success of experiential learning programs coordinated by Career Services with specific focus on QUIP. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring superior service and advising to students and employers and effective relationships with program partners.
This position acts as a point of contact for internship and professional experience programs and facilitates connections between students alumni and potential employers. This position maintains regular communication with students and collaborates with employers and other departments and/or units on job opportunities and/or internships. This position guides employers through the employment partnership hiring process including job postings company information sessions interviewing and tracking offers and acceptances. This position also coordinates and implements events including scheduling promotion recruitment and logistics.
The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work evenings and weekends.
