What will you do
A day in the life of a Leasing Director at VF looks a little like this.
As a Director of Retail Leasing you will help build the pipeline of new store locations and other lease actions for our Outdoor and Action Sports brands ultimately growing our retail footprint. You will execute strategies coordinate the real estate leasing process and amanage all elements and participanct to include Senior Retail Business Leaders from all brands Legal Finance Accoutning Store Planning/Construction Lease Administration and Store Operations. You will partner with the Senior Director of Retail Leasing and Construction to research identify and secure highly successful real estate locations by obtaining facts and data. This includes initiating and reviewing performance and investment analysis for prospective sites that meet the long term expansion strategies for Vans and other VF Brands. You will also support and assist in efforts to analyze markets select sites and prepare Real Estate Committee approval packages as well and maintain the existing store portfolio and communications with Construction Facilities Operations and Landlords/Developers. This role reports to the Senior Director of Retail Leasing and Construction.

You will be responsible for leading the leasing activities for new full price and outlet stores that are in line with the long-term retail real estate expansion strategy for VF Outdoor and Action Sports Brands
You will own and lead the site approval process and ensure all stakeholders are informed and involved; obtaining and analyzing pertinent research data related to markets and trade areas along with preparing presentations for Real Estate Committee approval
You will have the opportunity to develop and maintain strong strategic alliances with senior external business partners including landlords/developers brokers vendors lease administration and other related real estate individuals.
You will help manage the companys real estate portfolio of 700 stores including relocations new stores lease renewals and closures.
Travel to required market areas to visually inspect and evaluate proposed sites existing stores and competitors within trade areas.
What do you need to succeed

Additionally while formal education in a related field is great to have we are most interested in your 10 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Degree with an emphasis in Real Estate or Finance or equivalent work experience
10 years leasing experience with a national or regional Retail and/or Landlord Leasing organization in both mall and non mall real estate
Current knowledge of the US retail landscape and successful experience navigating the landlord/tenant relationship
Proven track record of executing real estate strategies that supports a growing business plan
Strong collaborative partner and ability to be effective in fast paced complex business environment
Lease/Contract negotiation review and drafting experience
Excellent verbal and written computer and communication skills Excel Word and related software applications
Up to 25% travel which includes market trips industry conventions landlord portfolio negotiation meetings and other travel as needed

$162432.00 USD - $203040.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan sales incentive orcommissionpotential.
