Job Description
Locum NP/PA - Vascular Surgery Position in Pueblo CO
Join a reputable medical center in Pueblo Colorado as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) First Assist in Vascular Surgery. The facility boasts over 250 beds and maintains a Level III Trauma designation ensuring a dynamic and supportive environment for healthcare professionals. This role requires covering two long weekends per month making it perfect for those seeking flexibility in their work schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the first assist in vascular surgery procedures.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient care.
- Perform general vascular surgery and endovascular procedures.
- Oversee bypass procedures including fem-pop and aorto-femoral/iliac surgeries.
- Manage vascular access devices and perform subclavian steal procedures.
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for documentation and patient management.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and maintain compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Board Certified (ABMS/AOA) - REQUIRED
- Experience as a first assist in vascular surgery - REQUIRED
- Valid Colorado medical license - REQUIRED
- Availability to cover 2 weekends per month (Thursday-Monday/Tuesday) - REQUIRED
- COVID Vaccination - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and background check - REQUIRED
- Documented Epic experience including duration and last usage date - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements
- Must possess a valid Colorado medical license.
- Board certification from an accredited agency (ABMS/AOA).
