About the Team
Aurora Managed Endpoint Defense (mEDR) is an AI-powered endpoint security solution that delivers continuous threat prevention detection and response. It leverages behavioral analytics and machine learning to identify sophisticated threats like ransomware and fileless malware. Fully integrated with Arctic Wolfs SOC it enables 247 expert monitoring and guided remediation. The solution scales across environments helping organizations strengthen their endpoint security posture while reducing alert fatigue.
Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Associate Software Developer to join our growing mEDR team. You will work on building and enhancing backend systems that support endpoint telemetry processing detection workflows and operational reliability. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to make a real impact in the cybersecurity space.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Write clean efficient and testable code with proper documentation and unit testing
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using modern DevOps practices
Work with containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes) to build deploy and manage microservices
Collaborate with team members QA and product managers to deliver high-quality features
Monitor and optimize PostgreSQL database queries and schema design
Participate in code reviews design discussions and sprint planning
Apply test-driven development (TDD) principles in day-to-day work
Demonstrate a strong ability to write original code to solve complex problems without reliance on AI-generated solutions
Contribute in an agile and fast-paced development environment with a strong sense of ownership
Embrace cloud-native development practices with security fundamentals in mind
Required Qualifications
13 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs microservices and service-oriented architecture
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins GitHub Actions or GitLab CI
Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
Basic understanding of cloud-native application development and deployment
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or GCP
Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Team player with a high sense of ownership and urgency
Outcome-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
Understanding of software security fundamentals
Nice to Have
Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELK stack)
Experience with security or endpoint data pipelines is a plus
Understanding of message queues (e.g. Kafka RabbitMQ SQS)
Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and build automation tools such as Maven/Gradle
