The Senior Financial Analyst role at ESIS a division of Chubb is a dynamic and multifaceted position which will be primarily focused on performing the operational & reporting functions related to the ESIS Medical Programs line of addition this role will support the accounting of our U.S. operations as well as oversight of our international subsidiaries. This role is integral to the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes providing clear and accurate financial reporting to management and supporting the annual audit and preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements.
Additionally the Senior Financial Analyst will assist with regulatory reporting requirements for the ESIS Compliance Group and contribute to the planning and forecasting activities related to Medical Programs. The role requires delivering concise and accurate reporting to ESIS management on a weekly monthly quarterly and year-over-year basis.
To succeed in this position candidates must demonstrate ownership problem-solving skills project management capabilities and the ability to build strong relationships. A continuous focus on expanding knowledge of the Medical Programs segment is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
ESIS Medical Programs Reporting:
- Vendor Accounting management (reconciliation reporting and controls)
- System and Balance Sheet Account reconciliation
- Pricing & Costing analysis for management includes the tracking of non-standard pricing arrangements.
- Oversight of the Medical Billing Engine activity and process.
- Financial Close and Reporting activities
- Perform adhoc analysis on the medical programs book of business.
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Assist in the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes. Includes execution of various monthly close management tasks.
- Prepare other line of business reports as necessary.
- Maintain sub-ledgers and other general ledger supporting documents.
- Prepare monthly accounting workpapers for all business areas including schedules for deferrals accruals and other adjustments to ensure compliance with accounting procedures.
- Investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare monthly commentary on legal entity reporting providing clear explanations of significant events impacting balance sheet results.
- Analyze monthly quarterly and year-to-date (YTD) financial results compiling metrics and insights on various components of the financial statements.
- Prepare financial reports for quarterly and annual statements along with supporting schedules.
Collaboration and Project Management
- Prepare impactful presentation materials for senior management meetings.
- Partner with IT Claim Operations Global Treasury and Corporate Finance to resolve issues and gather relevant information.
- Assist in maintaining oversight of the companys control environment in key areas.
- Lead or contribute to research projects and initiatives to drive solutions.
Qualifications- Education:Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience at a large public company or Big 4 auditing firm. Background in audit (internal/external) and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is a plus.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft applications (advanced Excel skills preferred) general ledger systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) and database tools (e.g. TM1 Cognos).
- Analytical Skills:Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities with sound judgment and the ability to make solid recommendations.
- Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information tailored to different audiences.

The pay range for the role is $64800 to $110100. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors.
