Job Description

Job Title: Multi-Classroom Leader
Reports To: Principal and Advanced Teaching Roles Coordinator
Duration: renewable 2 year contract
Compensation:
10 month position with up to 5 additional summer days as set by district
Based on state salary scale
Salary differential between $7000-$13000
Local supplement of $2500

Position Overview:
A multi-classroom leader(MCL) will serve as an instructional coach at the school level.
The focus of this position will be on providing instructional coaching support in one or
more content areas to a team of between 3-8 teachers. The MCL shares the
responsibility for the performance of the students of all teachers on the team.

MCL I- leads a team of 3 teachers
MCL II- leads a team of 4-5 teachers
MCL III- leads a team of 6-8 teachers

Key Responsibilities:
Execute coaching cycles to build capacity in teachers both in-person and
virtually
Facilitate the development of a growth mindset in self and team members
Lead planning and data meetings with team
Support team in the planning implementation and assessment of effective
classroom instruction that meets the needs of all students
Lead team to incorporate a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies that
result in high levels of student engagement and learning
Lead team to set goals and work towards a common mission and vision
Serve on the School Leadership Team
Align work to school and district goals frameworks and resources Identify
innovative solutions for improving the overall performance of teachers to meet
specific goals
Model effective high-impact instructional practices and lessons
Lead team to analyze and use data to drive instruction
Provide instruction to small groups of students as outlined by the district
Co-teach to support teacher and student development
Proactively strive to improve instructional and leadership practices

Collaborate with school and district leadership to improve teaching and learning
Attend professional development sessions with the Advanced Teaching Roles
Coordinator and others as set by the district
Attend district professional learning community (PLC) meetings as set by the
district

Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to educators fostering
their professional growth
Pedagogical Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of educational theories instructional strategies and
curriculum development
Data Analysis:
Proficiency in analyzing data to inform instructional decisions and tailor support
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with
teachers administrators and stakeholders
Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships with educators and
create a positive learning culture
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify challenges in teaching practices and develop solutions to
address them
Leadership:
Leadership qualities to inspire and influence positive change in instructional
practices
Organizational Skills:
Effective time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and
priorities
Adaptability:
Flexibility to adapt coaching strategies based on the unique needs of individual
educators and school environments
Technology Proficiency:
Familiarity with educational technology tools to enhance instructional practices
and professional development
Reflective Practice:
Commitment to ongoing self-reflection and professional growth to stay current
with educational trends and best practices
Empathy:
Ability to understand and empathize with the challenges educators face creating
a supportive coaching environment
Student-Centered Focus:
Dedication to improving student outcomes through effective instructional

coaching and teacher development
Cultural Competence:
Awareness and appreciation of diverse cultural backgrounds fostering an
inclusive coaching approach
By possessing these skills a multi-classroom leader can effectively collaborate with
educators promote a positive learning environment and contribute to the overall
improvement of teaching practices and student success.
Qualifications (must meet at least two):
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience 5 years preferred
Meets at least two: (see legislation)
Advanced Certification
Effective ratings on an evaluation rubric
EVAAS student growth index score from three previous school years of 1.5
or greater and no individual EVAAS student growth index score below 0 (if
out-of-state evidence of high growth data).
Demonstrated mastery of teaching skills
