We are looking to welcome a new member to our team with a Research Assistant position available to work on the mechanisms that underpin successful responses to vaccination.
The successful applicant will participate in a new BBSRC funded research project on the biology of the germinal centre responses particularly understanding the role of B cell - macrophage interactions for the adaption to virus escape memory and immune tolerance.
This work is part of a successful BBSRC project and builds on previous published work from our laboratory: are looking for a candidate with interest in working on antibody responses in vivoto fulfil this exciting opportunity. The project will use a wide variety of cellular and molecular immunology techniques. The successful candidate will hold BSc and/or Masters in a Biological/Immunological speciality. We are particularly interested in recruiting candidates who have experience in tissue imaging (tissue section preparationimmunohistology laser scanning microscope images) flow cytometry ELISA. We do not expect an individualcandidate to be proficient in all of these in order to be appointable.
This is a limited term appointment with funding for this post available for a period of 2 years in first instance.
