Job Opportunity: Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician
Exciting opportunity for a Board Eligible/Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to join a progressive practice at a leading hospital system in vibrant Richmond Virginia. St. Marys Hospital known for its exceptional healthcare services is part of one of the largest health care networks in the country offering a robust support system for both patients and medical staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Open to part-time with guaranteed hours (NO Per Diem) or full-time candidates.
- Work in an outpatient practice setting.
- Provide coverage for a new position.
- Conduct outpatient clinics consultations and a limited range of inpatient procedures at two hospitals.
- No deliveries required.
- Join a collaborative team of 2 physicians providing consult-only services.
- Support two outpatient clinic locations with assistance from Nurse Practitioners.
- Perform minimal procedures such as cerclages (estimated 20-30 per year) and in-office Amniocentesis.
- Work with Level 2 and Level 3 NICUs covered by affiliated neonatologists and NNPs.
- Utilize Viewpoint and EPIC systems in practice.
- Preferred: At least 1 year of MFM work experience (not including fellowship); however new/upcoming fellowship graduates are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
- Board Eligible (1-5 years from residency) or Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine - REQUIRED
- Fellowship-trained in MFM (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED
- Virginia medical license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
- BLS ACLS (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice and license history - REQUIRED
- At least 1 year of Maternal Fetal Medicine work experience (not including fellowship) - PREFERRED
- DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED no exemptions
License and Certification Requirements:
- Virginia license - REQUIRED
- BLS and ACLS certification - REQUIRED
- Fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine - REQUIRED
- Board Certification in OB/GYN - REQUIRED
