Job Description

Position Summary
The School of Social Work ( SSW ) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a position as the Workforce Resilience Program Manager for the Public Service Leadership Program ( PSLP ) funded by The Workforce is Here: How to Support Thriving Communities and Healthy North Carolina Children Individuals Families and Elders via Social Work Interventions and Research grant program. This initiative plans to develop and offer a statewide three-tiered public service certificate for both pre-service students at the high school community college/undergraduate and masters levels and in-service practitioners currently employed in public sector social work settings. The purpose of these certifications is to spark interest in pursuing public sector career opportunities and for those already engaged in the social work workforce to add a credential to enable career advancement and acquisition and competency of advanced skills. Each certificate will encompass a core set of common elements: a degree and/or curriculum enhancement to leverage foundational instruction; a tuition-free credential with curriculum development and instructional costs incurred and covered through the initiative; emphasis on direct service; content focused on North Carolinas critical service delivery areas; a virtual delivery model to enhance accessibility; and a co-instruction model of university faculty agency professionals and individuals with lived experiences. The Workforce Resilience Program Manager will establish and lead PSLP well-being and resilience programming designed to strengthen the capacity and knowledge base for existing social work practitioners and PSLP students who serve or intend to serve NC communities within the five critical service domains: Child and Family Services; Mental and Behavioral Health; Health Aging and Caregiving; Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities; Services to Justice-Involved Individuals. This position will lead the development of in-person and virtual educational content as well as support the implementation of a comprehensive social work workforce resilience study. The Workforce Resilience Program Manager will work closely with the Professional Learning Community Program Manager to chair the Practicum Education Post-Graduation and Licensure workgroup and will provide leadership and consultation for PSLP participants around NC clinical licensure processes. The Workforce Resilience Program Manager will report to the Assistant Dean for Workforce Development and will work closely with the Curriculum Development Coordinator and the Professional Learning Communities Program Manager to develop launch and implement the In-service certificate program for post-baccalaureate and post-masters level practitioners currently working within the five critical service domains. With the ultimate goal of retaining highly qualified NC social workers this position will also be responsible for supporting the development of marketing and communications that highlight the importance of workforce resilience; marketing the PSLP In-service certificate programs in NC Social Work Coalition school partners; conducting well-being and resilience sessions for PSLP participants; designing and facilitating in-person and hybrid learning experiences that extend participant knowledge understanding and application of productive coping strategies that enhance compassion satisfaction; engaging state agency partners and community based non-profits in presentations and learning experiences focused on workplace wellbeing; and monitoring program metrics and data that will be used to inform PSLP program evaluation reports and outcomes. This position will also be responsible for recruiting hiring and supervising PSLP Well-being Coaches (full-time; up to 3) and PSLP Peer Mentors (part-time; up to 6) This position will be located in Chapel Hill NC and will require up to 25% travel.

Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Professional experience implementing systemic well-being and resilience programs with public-serving social work/human services programs * Experience in curriculum development training and/or workforce development for helping professionals within the 5 critical service domains. * Proficiency in online learning platforms and digital tools for virtual program delivery (eg. Zoom Teams Mentimeter BigBlueButton) * Demonstrated clinical supervision experience involving practicum students and/or early career practitioners. * Strong organizational communication collaboration and project management skills

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
* Masters degree in social work human services public administration psychology public health education or related field of study * At least 5 years of direct practice professional clinical experience with populations representing complex clinical needs * Expertise in the developmental science related to emerging and established adulthood and their intersection with career/vocational development. * Experience using implementation science tools and strategies * Experience using data to evaluate program effectiveness and to develop continuous improvement/strategic action plans. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively without immediate direct supervision * Ability to manage conflict and communicate effectively with diverse workforce populations stakeholders and settings
