Shrine Catholic High School Long Term Sub - Math Teacher Shrine Catholic High School is known for its dynamic community collaborative and cohesive faculty and its supportive administration. There are approximately 210 students at Shrine Catholic High School allowing teachers to develop meaningful relationships with students. QUALIFICATIONS All candidates shall be certified and/or approved for teaching by the Department of Education for the State of Michigan or be in the process of being certified. All teachers are required to hold the appropriate endorsement for the subject(s) they are assigned to teach. Teacher Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging Geometry lessons aligned with Shrine Catholic High Schools curriculum academic standards and Catholic mission.
- Incorporate faith and values into instruction fostering a learning environment consistent with Catholic identity and traditions.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs abilities and backgrounds of students.
- Integrate technology and real-world applications into lessons to enhance student understanding of geometric concepts.
- Develop assign and assess coursework including homework quizzes projects and exams.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance attendance and grades in accordance with school policies.
- Provide timely feedback to students and communicate academic progress to parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Math Department and across disciplines to support curriculum alignment and instructional best practices.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current in instructional strategies.
- Promote critical thinking problem solving and logical reasoning as core skills within the course.
- Foster a respectful disciplined and inclusive classroom environment grounded in Catholic values.
- Participate inprofessional school duties including faculty meetings retreats school events and other duties as assigned.
