LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE PRE-K TEACHERJOHN ASHLEY Key duties include creating a safe and nurturing classroom managing behavior communicating with parents about progress tracking development and collaborating with staff to ensure childrens physical emotional and cognitive well-being and growth. Responsibilities Include:Curriculum & Instruction:-Develop and execute daily and weekly lesson plans that are creative engaging and suitable for 4-year-olds based upon district approved curriculum-Use a variety of educational methods including storytelling educational play songs and arts and crafts. Child Development & Well-being:-Foster social emotional and cognitive development. -Create a safe nurturing and organized classroom environment that promotes exploration and positive interactions. -Supervise children during all activities-Act as a positive role model and help children develop self-esteem and respect for others. -Engage and implement best practices based on PBIS and Responsive Classroom strategies and interventionsClassroom Management:-Establish and enforce classroom rules and ensure positive behavior management. -Mediate conflicts and encourage cooperative play. -Organize and maintain a clean orderly and well-supplied classroom space. -Communication & Reporting:-Assess and track each childs individual progress and development. -Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and caregivers regarding their childs development behavior and any concerns. Collaboration & Compliance:-Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to provide a cohesive educational experience-Adhere to state and federal education standards and health/safety regulations-Identify and address any potential learning or developmental issues escalating concerns as needed Approximate dates of assignment: August 25 2025 - November 28 2025Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution preferredMassachusetts D.E.S.E.
