Producer OSINT Visual Investigations

Full Time Temporary until March 22 2026

CBC News is looking for a skilled investigative journalist to work with our new and still developing visual investigations unit. This team relies on open source information and digital forensic techniques to break new stories while experimenting with distinct and innovative treatments. A sample of our work can be found here: come prepared to our daily pitch meetings - actively watching ongoing news developments for investigative angles and quick-turn scoops. You are the kind of producer that can manage multiple projects of varying lengths and formats under tight deadlines and can translate complex findings into clear narratives. Were making news with original OSINT-driven investigations and are also deeply committed to building and training a community of journalists across CBC. Thats why we need someone who is fiercely competitive about this kind of journalism and intensely collaborative about how we do this kind of reporting.

This role primarily requires expertise in OSINT and digital forensic research. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with investigative reporting field producing video producing and filing on multiple broadcast and digital platforms. Working side-by-side with a senior reporter you have the unique capacity and willingness to juggle multiple indepth projects while still regularly collaborating with other journalists across the CBC newsroom and within the international OSINT community. This means its an in person in newsroom position.
