Quality Engineer

Boeing Commercial Airplanes(BCA) has an exciting opportunity for anSenior Quality Engineer(Level 4) to join ourFabrication Quality Team located inAuburn Washington.

The selected candidate will work with Boeing Quality Engineering team to support Advanced Product Quality Production (APQP) verification and acceptance activity. This position reports to a first-line manager. This position offers exciting opportunity for an individual to apply leadership creativity and to grow in a dynamic Quality Engineering organization.

To be successful in this role you must be enthusiastic proactive and self-directed to help oversee and assist in the day-to-day operational support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation
  • Provides Quality interpretation of complex requirements
  • Develops quality metrics design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual company and regulatory requirements
  • Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
  • Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved
  • Works under minimal direction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study
  • 3 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3 years of experience performing data analysis
  • 3 years of experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and Corrective Action
  • 5 years of experience with quality systems (e.g. Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS) International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001) Aerospace Standard (AS9100)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1 years of experience performing product inspection
  • 1 years of experience in Quality Inspection including FAI (First Article Inspection)
