Grants Pass School District No. 7 is now accepting applications for the following position for the 2025-2026 school year:

Location: Highland Elementary

Position: Pre-School- Early Learning Facilitator

Hours: 3.75 hours per day

Calendar: 185 days per year (August-June)

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
Under the guidance of a teacher coordinator or Principal this employee will perform a wide variety of duties in a pre-school instructional setting including the instruction of students with disabilities. Some clerical duties will be performed as needed. May require assisting students with various tasks leading small groups supervision on the playground classroom and cafeteria. Depending on posting requires applicant to be step 7 or higher on the Oregon Registry Online (ORO).

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bacherlors Degree.
  2. Early childhood support.
  3. Preparation of materials/lessons.
  4. Childcare for playgroups and some evening classes
  5. Grant-funded for any questions please inquire.
  6. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  7. Knowledge of and experience with computers.
  8. Knowledge of business English spelling and mathematics; some knowledge of office practices and procedures; type at a working rate speed.
  9. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with fellow employees and ability to get along well with students.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
  11. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish preferred.
  • Upon selection employees will be required to pay for the following: $12.50 fingerprinting fee and $70 ODE fingerprinting processing fee.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • $26.65-$38.50 per hour (2025-2026 pay rates contingent on ratification and School Board approval). Dependent on approved accepted experience/education.
  • Annual COLA pay increase (as negotiated with Oregon Association of Classified Employees)
  • Annual step pay increase awarded to eligible employees
  • 6 paid holidays per year
  • 2 personal days per year
  • 10 paid sick leave days per year
  • Bereavement leave as per bargaining agreement
  • Continuing Education Funds up to $1000 per year
  • 6% employee paid contribution towards Oregon Public Employees Retirement System
  • Longevity Service Stipend after 10 years of employment ($1000-$1600) contingent on ratification and School Board approval.
