About the role
This opportunity is for an experienced Innovation Manager to join our team on a job share basis. Youll support the creation and development of fundraising products based on user needs and research to deliver on the growth plan and organisational priorities.
How youll create brighter futures
- Leading on multi team projects to design income generating products based on user needs and research. Define explain and iterate a product vision that is compelling to your users team and stakeholders.
- Engaging with users and stakeholders through a range of channels to encourage take-up and use of products and develop an expert understanding of the users needs. Testing a range of products with users to understand their behaviours and actioning this insight into the development and optimisation of products.
- Supporting the continued development of the product development process and ensure products developed meet the required standards and apply best practice principles that help to maximise value and ensure a good user experience.
- Improving product uptake and engagement of existing supporters by using personal knowledge of best practice results at Action for Children and other qualitative data to ensure enhanced supporter stewardship working with the loyalty team to understand the needs of our existing supporters.
- Working closely with the Insight Manager to champion user needs across the entire fundraising department ensuring the user is always at the heart of all our work. Being an advocate for user-led design and iterative testing.
- Leading small test products within the innovation team as well as leading on key integrated projects by following the new product development process.
- Working alongside the Innovation Strategy Lead in developing and delivering large-scale products that are a key part of the fundraising strategy generating income from multiple audiences.
Lets talk about you
- Experience of optimising existing products project managing optimisation cycles including user testing and stakeholder management.
- Experience of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver income generating products or services.
- Engaging with users and using qualitative and quantitative research techniques to produce personas user stories and user insights.
- Experience of idea generation tools.
- Experience of iterative testing or prototyping of ideas to quickly and cheaply determine if the idea has legs.
- Fundraising experience and/or marketing knowledge.
